Absolutely hideous property! We ended upwards in what can only be described as a ghetto in chav hell! The Rothesay apartment in Scotland on the Island of Bute is an absolute nightmare. 4 nights of pure hell, dissonance, drunks, fights and the WORST neighbours ever. Literally ever!


Reviews Not What You lot Remember

I've been searching for a vacation rental in Manasota Florida and plant a few I was interested in. I read all the reviews for this one duplex and there were a few iii stars but nothing to be too concerned about. Yet, the next day when I reviewed the rental again, all the three star reviews were gone so the property now has all 5 star reviews left. This is very deceiving and I won't be using Vrbo any time in the future.


Vrbo not assuasive negative reviews

I stayed at a Vrbo belongings in France. They charged hidden charges which were non made clear at the time of booking, merely were hidden abroad in an extra 'meet more' section of terms and weather condition, in a foreign linguistic communication.

Vrbo then denied me the opportunity to write a review for the property, knowing that I would write a negative review. Booked a holiday home with this company to France. They took my booking and five days later cancelled. They had taken my deposit, only they only returned 92% 12 days afterward. Trying to get the rest of my money is a joke. Twice got cut off, they said they would ring back never did! They wanted me to contact the management visitor of the business firm, Novasol, we had rented through them! Neither company replying to my emails.

Do not book your holiday rental through VRBO. I am one of many people trying to get a refund. My reservation was cancelled minutes subsequently I fabricated the booking considering they didn't have brusk breaks (it said cypher about this on the site). VRBO provided me the opportunity to review a property in which nosotros had not stayed. The reason we did not stay was a cancellation and botch on the role of VRBO.
Afterwards I wrote the review of my experience, VRBO refused to publish it and sent information technology dorsum to me for revision.

Please refund the service fee - frustrating policy

I have asked several times to have the VRBO service fee of $499 refunded for a reservation that we needed to cancel due to COVID. The belongings owner is not refunding the full corporeality of the stay (which was over $viii,000, and we are only getting $5,000 back) equally per the rental agreement that was signed pre-COVID. Our flying from Pennsylvania to Florida for our party of eight people was canceled the day of our deviation on December 27, 2021. Thousands of flights were being cancelled all over the state due to the Omicron variant and we were not able to rebook during our travel window. Nosotros took out the travel insurance through CSA/Generali that Florida Vacay Rentals "strongly" encouraged renters to purchase. It was limited to ii reasons and didn't encompass our travel cancellation due to staffing shortage.
We were too charged for fees such every bit cleaning, damage and service which we did non apply since we were not at the condo. We asked Florida Vacay Rentals to contact the possessor of the belongings directly to request a partial refund of the fees nosotros did not utilize, but we were told that Florida Vacay Rentals would non contact the owner nearly our concern. I have used VRBO a number of times before and have had some quite pleasant experiences merely my most contempo trip was then horrible that I doubt I will ever be using their services over again. I had scheduled a trip from March iv-nine for a business firm on the embankment meant to hold me and 13 of my closest friends. The morning time that we were meant to motility into the vacation home I received a call from the host (Emerald Coast Destinations) and she said that that holding was no longer available to stay at but that she could relocate us to a condo that was close by. Since we were already traveling and needed a place to stay we took her up on this option. Nosotros arrived and this place was only meant for a maximum of 10 people (and like truly 10 max). Nosotros had 4 people sleeping on the floor and didn't have enough blankets, pillows or other accommodations that we were expecting. I contacted the Host the next forenoon and stated that the accommodations were not adequate and that nosotros would require a different selection for our vacation. She replied that in that location were no other options and so and so I replied asking for a partial refund for the inconveniences that we've endured and because the value of the reserved rental ($439/night) was much greater than the one we were moved to (avg $120/dark according tomVRBO website). She responded that "I am non behind my computer right now but when i get back I volition take a wait at it." I am very disgusted with VRBO accounts equally an aapartment owner. I rent my flat in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, through VRBO and I had a client enter my apartment on 15th March and leave on 20th March. VRBO say they pay you the day after the client moves in. I take not been paid. This is not the outset time this has happened. My agent keeps ringing and all they say is they cannot verify my identity. My agent had this problem 6 months ago and she verified information technology then (again). They know exactly who I am and they have my money for a rental and are not passing it to me the owner of the apartment.
I advise people non to employ VRBO. They are extremely inefficient and I am very disatissfied with their service.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Host cancelled a few hours before booking with no reason given. The back up staff are inept disingenous and incompetent. They are deliberately unhelpful and unprofessional. Their strategy is to make you wait for 45 min each fourth dimension you lot call customer support so they dont have to aid you.

Sadly most people dont check reviews before using them. I will never use them again.

I got scammed!!!
VRBO even emailed me proverb that I got scammed, gave me back one-half of my coin and will not requite me dorsum the other half. This has been going on since the middle of March. I go along getting the run around and they will not give me back the rest of information technology.

Vrbo answer from alex posted his thoughts and only cares almost those home owners who charge loftier prices and brings up the fact they accept to make mortgage payments. Seriously nosotros only rented for a week. That leaves the rest of the month to make up the owners mortgage payment. Full joke VRBO. Renters lost not just rent payment merely as well air fare. Admittedly DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR

Apartment was cancelled due to covid over a year and a half ago.. owner was quite happy to re book when things got back to normal.. later on sending numerous e mails and making over 3 hrs of phone calls,not 1 person has ever got dorsum to me..finally got thru to someone to them so to tell me distressing we can't practice anything nigh it. The owner nonetheless has our £600 and has no intention of getting in touch with us.Vrbo doing exactly zero most information technology.. I can't believe a big company similar Vrbo don't have anything in place if something like this happens. Won't exist using this company e'er again,I would advise others to stay away too before you stop up losing your money.

They say 'That's between the host and the guests' Actually, NO, because you're the platform the connects hosts and guests and yous're responsible for last-minute-cancellation policies.

My parents and my girlfriend friends came all the way over to Tulum from the Netherlands to gloat the holidays. Those holidays now remind us of stress and a lot (!) of money. VRBO...AirBnB...aforementioned aforementioned, unlike names.

I would requite minus 10 if I could, I'g and so angry with VRBO and I've told all my friends and family unit never to apply them. I booked accommodation in Feb for the August Bank Holiday weekend but unfortunately I booked directly with the vendor which obviously was a scam which toll me £1700!
I immediately reported it knowing that I had been scammed. I was told that this was going to be escalated and someone would contact me. 2 weeks passed and I hadn't even received an e-mail to say that they had my case.
I rang them to find out what'southward going on and the aforementioned lines were fed to me. I chosen again and was put on hold fur 45 mins and then they hung upwardly!! Still no e-mail! I called again to complain to say that I knew information technology was my fault but I was hoping to receive some acknowledgement that they even so had my case, an email or something. Later ten mins of complaining of requesting an e-mail with a case number I did get one, but again I've had no follow up.
Rubbish customer service, the worst I've e'er experienced. Although I fabricated an error, I trusted the site and didn't think information technology was possible to list anything on here without them doing their due diligence checks so I only booked information technology thinking it was all above board so I practise recall they have some responsibility for this!
They have all the details of the scammer equally I sent them everything simply I all the same haven't heard from them. Bloodcurdling customer service so please don't utilise them!

Accented rip off

Absolute rip off! Been holidays for years in Vancouver and stay for a calendar month at a fourth dimension. Air bnb and Craigslists, fifty-fifty booking.com are a fraction of the toll that Vrbo is. I'm shocked at how anyone books through them.
